Listen to Billy Currington on iHeartRadio

Billy Currington is pleading not guilty to charges of making terroristic threats and abuse of an elder person.

Savannah's WSAV-TV says attorney Alex Zipperer entered the plea in a Georgia court Wednesday on the country singer's behalf, and Currington did not appear in court.  The next court date in the case has been set for October 4th.

Currington's case stems from an incident near Tybee Island back in April, involving the singer and tour boat captain Charles Harvey Ferrelle.  Ferrelle claims Currington started screaming at him and threatened his life while he was carrying his customers on his boat past the singer's home.

While police responded at the time of the incident, Currington was not arrested.  He was indicted ten days later, and turned himself in to authorities within 24 hours of the indictment.
