The Charleston Fire Department is investigating a late-night fire off Clements Ferry Road.

According to Fire Marshal, Mike Julazadeh, fire department units from Charleston, North Charleston, and Awendaw were dispatched to a reported structure fire at 1201 Circle Oaks Drive Monday night.  The 911 caller reported a possible lightning strike prior to the fire.

The first arriving units reported heavy fire at or near the roof of the structure and requested a second alarm.  The building is a townhouse or similar structure. The bulk of the fire was extinguished by within 45 minutes but crews continued spraying hotspots and opening areas of the structure to expose hidden fire.

No injuries were reported, and a fire investigation will be initiated as soon as practical.
