Charleston's uber delicious hot spot, 167 Raw, recently announced that they are opening a sushi bar in their former location at 289 East Bay Street. The seafood restaurant moved to a new location on King Street earlier this year, welcoming guests into their bright and spacious new building with open arms. The 167 Raw Sushi Bar is set to open at the East Bay location in the spring of 2021.
The 167 Raw owner, Jesse Sandole, stated that they've been "...really excited about this for a long time, and it was in the works before we closed the doors,” “The fact that we knew we were going back there is something we’ve had in our minds.” The new sushi raw bar will feature 12-15 pieces of nigiri, sushi rolls and Japanese-inspired small plates. They aim to create a fun and upbeat atmosphere, unlike many quiet and quaint sushi spots.
