Believe It or Not, Trump Says He 'Doesn't Like Tweeting'

In many respects, a hallmark of Donald Trump's political career has been his use of Twitter.

While Trump was firing off zingers at his opponents long before he became even the GOP nominee, he now seems capable of affecting both the stock market and congressional policymaking with just a single tweet.

In a new interview with Ainsley Earhardt on “Fox & Friends,” however, the president-elect — who has more than 34,000 tweets to his name — made a somewhat unexpected admission:

In the interview, which aired Wednesday, the president-elect said:

"Look, I don’t like tweeting. I have other things I could be doing.

But I get very dishonest media, very dishonest press. And it’s my only way that I can counteract. When people make misstatements about me, I’m able to say it and call it out."
