Prozac Poses Risks for Sea Creatures

Prozac could be threatening sea life.  The chemicals often make their way to the ocean after getting flushed from homes or medical facilities.  A new study from Portland State University shows sea creatures demonstrate riskier behavior and less concern for predators when exposed to the antidepressant.  They also get themselves or other members of their species killed by picking fights.

Small amounts of Prozac and other prescription medicines have been found in seawater near populated areas for years.
