Lowcountry Cold Shelters Open as Temperatures in Teens Expected

Four cold shelters will be open across the Lowcountry starting Monday night, offering a warm place to stay and hot meals for those around the area who need them.

Hibben United Methodist Church690 Coleman Boulevard, Mount Pleasant

  • Jan. 1, 2, 3 (7:30 p.m.-7 a.m.)
  • No guests accepted after 11 p.m. unless brought by authorities, or advance arrangements are made.
  • Evening meal and breakfast provided.
  • Showers available with towels, soap, and shampoo furnished.
  • Bus pickup starts at 6:55 p.m.-Huger Street across from Taco Boy-Main Library on Calhoun Street-Marion Square at King Street
  • *Guests will be returned downtown the next morning
