The James Island Connector Run will be Saturday, October 26th!
This family-oriented event is Charleston's premier 5K or 10K run to honor students with disabilities. It promotes fitness and builds community awareness, but its purpose is to raise funds for scholarships for students with disabilities. Proceeds from the run benefit the Gavalas Kolanko Foundation, a local charity that awards Lowcountry students with disabilities scholarships.
This run provides a beautiful scenic route with views of the Ashley River and downtown peninsula, as well as one of the most challenging courses in Charleston. Their is a celebration after the race at Cannon Park, where runners and family members can enjoy refreshments, a beer garden, music, and even a kid zone.
Cash rewards are available for the top 5 male and female racers.
