After first opening in the early 1900s and gaining popularity during the middle of the century, diners became a staple of the American landscape. Taste of Home searched "coast to coast" to determine the best diner in each state, the beloved eateries serving up "good old-fashioned diner fare" that became a classic for a reason. According to the site, the best diner in all of South Carolina is Early Bird Diner, a popular Charleston establishment serving top-notch breakfast and lunch diner staples.
Early Bird Diner is located at 1644 Savannah Highway.
