Morgan Wallen dropped another vague hint about his unreleased duet with a female artist on Thursday (April 10).

Wallen’s highly-anticipated fourth studio record will include the reigning Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year’s first-ever collaboration with a female artist. He confirmed the duet in a rare response to a post on X, formerly Twitter, on Wednesday (April 9). However, Wallen has not confirmed the identity of his mystery duet partner, leaving social media commenters to cast their guesses.

“I haven’t seen one person guess the female collab on this album correctly yet,” Wallen wrote on his Instagram story on Thursday afternoon.

The country star received the question: “[Morgan Wallen], please please PLEASE confirm ‘What I Want’ is a duet. You haven’t yet sang with any female artists on any of your first three albums, so PLEASE tell me this is the case.”

Wallen simply replied: “Indeed sir.”

Fans are quick to speculate the singer-songwriter’s duet partner, including Miranda LambertLainey WilsonElla Langley and Megan Moroney, among others. Some commenters particularly expressed their enthusiasm for a Wallen-Moroney collaboration when Moroney referenced Wallen’s viral post-SNL phrase on TikTok earlier this week. The Am I Okay? star nodded to Wallen when she wrote “get me to Gods country” on TikTok, which Wallen famously said on his Instagram story after his abrupt exit on Saturday Night Live (of course, TikTokers were freaking out over Moroney's reference). But based on Wallen’s update on Thursday, it appears he did not team up with Moroney on the unreleased song.

Wallen has already released the title track, “Just In Case,” “I’m A Little Crazy,” “Love Somebody,” “Smile” and “Lies Lies Lies” from the 37-track album. I’m The Problem is set to arrive on May 16, which is the first day of Wallen’s three-day Sand In My Boots Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Wallen will headline the event with Post MaloneBrooks & Dunn and HARDY. He's also fearing up for his 2025 “I’m The Problem Tour,” with a rotating lineup that includes Brooks & DunnMiranda LambertThomas Rhett and Koe Wetzel as direct support, and Gavin AdcockCorey KentElla Langley and Anne Wilson on select dates.
