Back-to-School Supply Drive

School And Office Supplies On Blackboard

You know it's almost time to go back to school when the temperature hangs around the high 90's, low 100's almost every day! That being said, it's time for the much anticipated back-to-school rush: getting back on the school schedule, shopping for new clothes since your child has already outgrown all of their trendy pieces from last fall, and picking up fresh materials that are on their school supplies checklists (assuming they still do those🤔). That being said, this is a great time to DONATE!

The City of Charleston is hosting a school supplies drive through August 14 and on August 18, packages of these donated schools supplies will be gifted at the First Day Festival from 1:00PM to 4:00PM hosted at two locations:

1) Library Square at the South Carolina Aquarium where parking will be $1 at both the aquarium and Gaillard Center parking garages and admission to the aquarium will be FREE

2) Gadsdenboro Park

Any and all standard school supplies such as pens, pencils, erasers, wide-ruled paper, folders, crayons, etc. can be dropped off at any of the following locations through August 14:

-Arthur W. Christopher Community Center

-Bees Landing Recreation Center

-James Island Recreation Center

-St. Julian Devine Community Center

-Daniel Island Municipal Center

-Charleston and West Ashley Farmers Markets

-Charleston County School District @ 75 Calhoun Street, 2 George Street
