Even though we live where others vacation and Charleston is known for some of the prettiest beaches on the East Coast, sometimes a little weekend getaway and change of scenery is nice, right? 😉 It's time to be a tourist in your own state with these easy trips from Charleston!

Here is our guide to last minute getaways from Charleston, and these make it feel like summer forever!

Edisto Island

There's a reason they call it Edislooooow. On this island, there is no schedule, no traffic, and no worries - just simple living. Become the ultimate beach bum and relax in the sand all day, or head over to Botany Bay for shell hunting. Make sure to pick up some local seafood from Flower's on the way down and enjoy this quiet, cozy island.

Sounds pretty similar to our beloved Charleston, right? If you're just in need of a chance of scenery, there is so much to explore in this city!
