Mt. Pleasant's classic Old Village Post House is set to re-open late April after receiving renovations over the past few months. The restaurant closed in the fall of 2019 when Basic Projects, curators behind Charleston's Basic Kitchen, took ownership over the property. The new Post House is set to be a casual, family-friendly spot that will be open for dinner, weekend brunch, and special occasions. Customers can expect simple and seasonal food with locally sourced ingredients (from local spots such as Shem Creek which is right down the street), classic cocktails, and an approachable wine list.
”The Post House, like all our projects, is meant to be a real gathering place with a menu that has something for everyone. RJ understands that vision and shares our passion for working with local farmers and purveyors...”
“He knows and respects the local community. We’re excited to work with him to bring our shared love of good food and authentic hospitality to life.”
