R.B.’s Seafood on Shem Creek Closes Permanently, Selling for $7 Million

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, R.B.'s Seafood Restaurant on Shem Creek in Mt. Pleasant has closed its doors for good. The property sold to Geyer Capital Management LLC out of Atalanta for $7 million. With plans to renovate and upgrade the property, the new owners do plan to reopen with new tenants.

Ronnie Boals, longtime R.B.'s Seafood owner, is leaving the restaurant business with nearly 60 years of experience. He states that while it is bittersweet, he is ready to retire. After experiencing some health issues, Boals hadn't been active in the daily restaurant operations in quite some time, so he is now looking forward to traveling and volunteering.
