MUSC class holding free dental screenings starting in October

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

A class at MUSC will be holding free dental screenings to the public starting in October. 

It starts on Oct. 1 and runs through Feb. 7, 2019, and are held Monday through Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the first floor of MUSC's Dental Clinic on 29 Bee Street. 

"Anyone who shows up will receive free dental x-rays, free oral examination, and free oral cancer screenings," said Kevin Schwartzman, class president at the College of Dental Medicine at MUSC." We are looking for patients for our board licensure exams and any patients who meet our criteria will receive FREE fillings or deep cleanings."

There will be no screenings for the following dates: Nov. 21 through Nov. 22, Dec. 12 through Jan. 1, 2019, and Jan. 21, 2019.
