CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - Dozens of cast members are ready to go when Boone Hall “Fright Nights” open Saturday.

The nineteen nights of fear, from now through Halloween, include three haunted attractions.

Boone Hall ‘Fright Nights’ Director Ryan Neal says he thinks this year’s event might be the scariest yet.

Neal says the three attractions include their tradition walk-thru, “Maximum Security”, a new walk-thru set to dubstep music, “Tiny’s Toy Factory”, and hay ride, “Scary Tales: The Final Chapter”.

Boone Hall’s team says they spent months planning these events and had to go the extra mile to make sure it followed safety protocols as well.

“We’re not going to be quite as up close and personal and all of our characters will be wearing face coverings but good luck picking that out," Neal said. "We’ve done a really good job making sure that experience will be as intense as you would expect on any given year.”

Boone Hall says their capacity will be limited because of safety protocols this year and you’re encouraged to buy tickets online in advance.

Additionally there will be a corn maze and pumpkin patch, Boone Hall says.

Boone Hall Marketing Director Rick Benthall says they will be making sure pumpkins are socially distanced in the pumpkin patch and families can still pick out the perfect pumpkin for their households.

The corn maze has been dedicated to past Boone Hall owner Willie McRae, a beloved member of the community Benthall says will be missed and remembered by all who’ve visited ‘Fright Nights’ or Boone Hall.

Fright Nights will be open from 7:15 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 7:15 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Thursdays and Sundays.
