Skateboarder Helps Stop Robbery

A skateboarder in Kentucky is behind hailed a hero after fending off a would-be robber.  Surveillance video from the June 30th incident shows Jason Sesock trailing the suspect with his skateboard in hand. Police say a 20-year-old woman was at the night deposit box at Regions Bank in Paducah when a man ran up to her and threatened her with a piece of rebar.  Officers said while the 2 were struggling on the ground,  Sesock was riding by on his skateboard when he stopped, ran over and hit the man with his skateboard.  Sesock hit the man's arms as the victim grabbed the rebar and hit the robber in the head before running off.  For his heroic action, Regions Bank awarded Sesock with a new custom-made skateboard and $500.  

Police say 58-year-old Russell Zonca of Tennessee was arrested on July 2nd in connection to the incident and has been charged with first degree robbery.
