SAG Awards: 'The Crown,' 'Schitt's Creek' Among Winners

24th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards - Trophy Room

The SAG Awards were still socially distanced this year but the celebration of movies and television was felt from the comfort of one's couch as the awards made history with all four acting awards going to people of color.  Schitt's Creek (best ensemble of a comedy) and The Crown (best ensemble of a drama) won for television. Jason Bateman won Best Male Actor in a Drama Series for his role in Ozark. 

Best Female in a Drama Series went to Gillian Anderson for The Crown. As for motion pictures, Best Cast went to Trial of the Chicago 7. Chadwick Boseman won a posthumous award for Best Male Actor in a Leading Role for and Viola Davis won for Best Actress for Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. The award for Male Actor in a Supporting Role went to Daniel Kaluuya for Judas and the Black Messiah. Female in a Supporting Role winner was Youn Yuh-Jung for Minari.
