The latest research on the human brain suggests that we're all living in the past - specifically, 15 seconds in the past. A new study suggests that what our brains see is not a real-time snapshot of the current moment, but "an average of what we saw in the past 15 seconds". Scientists call this "change blindness", and say it helps us process the world around us more smoothly. Has anyone ever accused you of 'living in the past'?
