Isaias' Conditions Will Gradually Improve This Evening

Hurricane Isaias will move inland near the North Carolina and South Carolina border later this evening. Conditions across coastal SC will gradually improve this evening. Tropical storm force winds, torrential rainfall, storm surge inundation, rip currents, and high surf with significant beach erosion will remain possible across eastern Charleston and Berkeley counties through 10:00 PM.

The Storm Surge Warning and Tropical Storm Warning have been cancelled for:

  • Coastal Colleton

The Tropical Storm Warning has been cancelled for:

  • Beaufort
  • Coastal Jasper
  • Inland Jasper

A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for:

  • Inland Berkeley
  • Tidal Berkeley

A Storm Surge Warning and Tropical Storm Warning are in effect for:

  • Charleston

Storm Information:

  • About 50 miles east of Charleston SC
  • Storm Intensity 75 mph
  • Movement North-northeast or 15 degrees at 16 mph
