Kelsea Ballerini is shutting down any speculation that she might be pregnant following her appearance at the 2020 CMA Awards on Wednesday night (November 11).
After the annual award show a user tweeted asking if the country singer could be pregnant, prompting Ballerini to respond.
"I'm sure you mean well, but it's incredibly insensitive to ask or assume if another woman is pregnant," the 27-year-old replied. "I'm not, by the way. Just carrying around my organs."
She continued, "But if I were, I'd want to share that in my own time when I felt ready. Let's not judge bloat levels on the internet."
The fan's tweet has since been deleted.
Ballerini's tweets come just hours after she hit the stage at the CMA Awards to perform her song "Hole In The Bottle." After the upbeat performance, the singer turned to social media to announce her new remix of the track with Shania Twain.
"Time to spill the wine," Ballerini wrote alongside a photo of herself standing next to Twain. "hole in the bottle with @shaniatwain out tomorrow at midnight est🍷"
"They say don’t meet your heroes…unless your hero is Shania Twain…then meet her, known her and make music with her. She’s inspired me in every way and has become a mentor and friend and added some major sass and spice to ‘Hole in the Bottle’ the way only Shania could," Ballerini said in a statement.
Twain added, “Kelsea and I have had some laughs together over the last couple of years! She joined me on stage back in 2017 when I headlined Stagecoach and we’ve had a chance to catch up over a glass of wine a couple of times since. We’ve also sent pieces of songs back and forth to each other and I have to say, she’s an incredible raw talent. I love ‘Hole in the Bottle,’ it really speaks to my own sense of humor and it was so cool to get to do it with a friend."
Ballerini's new "Hole In The Bottle" remix featuring Twain officially dropped on Friday (November 13). Take a listen to the track below.
