TMSG: Woman Reunited With Family Photos Decades Later Thanks To Stranger

45-year-old Adam Scally was doing a deep clean of his New York City apartment thanks to being stuck inside due to the coronavirus pandemic.

That's when he came across an album. 20 years ago, Scally bought a box at an auction while he was a grad student at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. An album of family photos was in that box. There was no social media back then so Scally had no way of tracking down the family the album belonged to, but he knew the pictures were important to someone so he kept them.

When Scally pulled the album from his closet during his deep clean this past April, he took to Facebook and uploaded a couple of the pictures to a group called "Local Kansas City History Buffs." And within an hour, someone identified the baby in the photos.

The photos belonged to 46-year-old Sella Minker and her family. In the album are memories dating as far back as the 1960s with her parents, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. She shared with Fox 4 Kansas City that just about everyone in the book is gone besides her father.

“I could not wait to get my hands on this. There are so many memories of me as a child. It’s unbelievable how crazy it is this came to me during this time.”
