Mrs. Holland wanted to give her students the best resources available, to learn about other cultures and religions. We couldn't agree more, so we decided to fund the rest of her project!
This is what she had to say about her students.
I teach some of the most amazing students in the world. My students are such hard workers and want to do well in everything that they do. They enjoy learning and I love teaching them. These students come from low income to middle income families and are highly motivated to do well in school.
Academics is very important to the teachers, administrators, students, and families in our community.
It is important to me that I do whatever it takes to make a difference in these students' lives.
And this is what she plans to do!
These materials will help us to learn about other cultures. In 6th grade we learn about other cultures and religions. Learning about these other cultures and religions will help students to be more tolerant of those who are different from themselves.
These resources will help us to learn about how various cultures developed and what they believe.
There are also resources to help me as a teacher to help students of different backgrounds all develop into the best possible student that they can be. I hope to help my students develop into the best person that they can possibly be and helping to expose them to various cultures and religions will help to do this.
We are so proud of our Lowcountry teachers and are happy to help out whenever we can!
