Yesterday Ric Rush and the WEZL Kindness Crews-aide was at the 6th Annual Turkey & A $20 drive at One80Place in downtown Charleston! This event is put on every year to stock the community kitchen at One80Place and to help end homelessness.
At the 2017 Turkey & a $20 drive, One80 Place collected 520 turkeys, which served about 4,100 meals over the course of the year. The event raised $40,000. The money raised goes toward providing supportive services for the guests of the shelter with the focus of getting individuals housed quickly.
